Karel Hamilton, Arts & Scraps
Artist & Designer
Hi,
I’m Karel Hamilton and I have been crafting in one way or another for most of my life. Growing up as the only girl with seven brothers, I could never get any of them to play girl type games with me, so I had to learn to occupy myself. My mother gave me a Sear’s catalog, scissors, paste and paper and I learned to make my first paper dolls when I was five years old .She taught me hand sewing and embroidery, and I always received new art supplies at Christmas. So I owe my love of crafting to her.
I love to create all types of paper crafts, from printable’s to card making, to designing scrap book kits.
My three daughters and 5 grandchildren are my greatest inspirations.
Before retiring a few years back I taught decorative painting for years at my local Hobby Lobby and Michael stores. Some of my favorite artists are Laurie Furnell, Jamie Price and Maxine Thomas.
I currently design kits for my stores at Aimee Asher and Art and Scraps and just recently ventured into blogging.

Hi! I’m Velta and I live in Montgomery, Alabama.  I have one daughter, Amy, who is married and she and her husband  have given me two beautiful grandbabies, ages 3 (a boy) and 7 months (a girl).  I live with “Piper,” my Australian Shepherd.  I work full time as a decision writer for 13 judges in my office.  I began making cards in 2005 and started my blog in 2007.  Paper crafting is like therapy for me and I love giving handmade cards and creations to the people I care for.

I am very excited to become a part of Primsy Doodle Designs and I hope I can be an inspiration to others with my designs.  Please feel free to visit me at http://www.impressionsbyv.blogspot.com
